Abstract

A careful examination of Chilean novels of the last five years, whose corpus is predominantly made up of works developed directly in Santiago or under the auspices of capital publishers, presents mostly texts focused on avant-garde, heterogeneous, discursive, epochal metanarrative ruptures, etc. , typical of postmodernity. Without denying the novelty, relevance or freshness of this panorama, this stylistic-thematic feature permeates the entire national production, clouding other manifestations of narrative diversity, such as, for example, the presence of texts with geographical peculiarity criteria.
