Abstract

This paper have like aims analyze the development of labor relations in multinational companies based on the practices of wage individualization and those related to the unions that are developed there. To analyze the former, salary payments with additional per performance and performance evaluation systems are taken as reference. For the second, the union presence in the company and the level of affiliation are observed. Multinational companies have been key in the imposition of various practices linked to wage individualization, while their importance in the Argentine economy makes them central agents for analysis. Throughout the article, we seek to answer the following questions: What elements constitute forms of individualization? What is the level of penetration of unions in firms? What link can be established between the establishment of practices of individualization and trade union logics in firms? What differences and similarities are observed around the structural variables?
